LA FETE DE GANESH

 

Every year in Paris, in the middle of august, when the city is half empty, the indian and shrilankian community celebrates its most important ritual, the Ganesh Party. The grey boulevards of the Chapelle neighborhood are invaded by a colorful dancing crowd. The ancestral signs, masks and gestures found a way to make their way into the contemporary world.
